Service Description

2024 Dates available: All 10.00-17.00: Murrayfield Parish Church, Edinburgh, EH12 6EQ Mon 29 April Wed 26 June Fri 30 Aug Wed 30 Oct Mon 16 Dec Designed for: People in a position to deliver first aid to themselves and others in low risk work environments e.g. community based carers, residential support staff, personal assistants, office workers, hotel & catering staff. Content: Legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures to consider Roles of the employer and employee Risk assessing Casualty assessment Resuscitation Seizures Choking Shock Wounds and bleeding Burns ​​ Assessments are completed throughout the course, in practical demonstration formats so attendees can practice and evidence their learning and participation. There will be lots of opportunity for hands-on activities so attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes. Price is per person and a certificate of attendance will be issued after successful completion of the assessments.

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours before the start of your course. Cancellation fees apply as follows: More than 7 days notice: We will issue a full refund; 1 – 7 days notice: 50% of the cost of the course; Less than 24 hours notice: No refund will be made.
