Dates available: 07/04/2023 10:00AM - 13:00PM (Online, live, Zoom) It is thought that 1 in 5 children experience some form of abuse before they reach 16, every year in the UK. Abuse can occur in many forms, some of which are subtle and easily overlooked. Designed for: This course will help staff understand their role in the chain of protection, how to spot signs of abuse and how to correctly handle situations when abuse is suspected. Content: Forms of abuse Impact of abuse Signs and symptoms Legislation and responsibilities Recording and reporting Child protection systems Good practice Group activities and discussion This course is delivered in line with the NSPCC guidance on child protection in the UK and involves completing a short assessment. Price is per person and a certificate of attendance will be issued after successful completion of the assessments.
